The last 15 minutes of the day can allow anyone to get great shots with the setting sun to enhance your photo. I especially like the colors of the sunset as a backdrop and if you're fortunate to have a bird to stay put for a second it can work for you. Or find a nice tree or a barn, use your imagination. One evening I just took shots of grass and weeds with the sunsets reflection and I was impressed how nice they came out. So...bring a camera along on your next hike, you never know what might make an interesting shot.
