Ice Boating on frozen Lake Monona

Yesterday I spotted some strange boats zooming around on the ice on Lake Monona.

When I put on my snowshoes and walked out to find out who they are, turns out they are part of an 'ice boat' club in Madison (www.iceboat.org) -- more formally known as the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club.

Sounds like they can get up to speeds of 60 mph! Great way to take advantage of the cold winter months.
