This year's holiday tree at the Wisconsin state capitol is a 35-foot balsam fir from Wheeler, Wisconsin. It is decorated with ornaments (This year's theme - "Birds of Wisconsin") made by school children.

The other photo shows their display of cuts from the trunks of past holiday trees.
