Our five year old has been asking for months now, "Mommy is it winter?" Each time I say yes and review the months of winter. Next she ask "How long do I have to wait for snow, enough to play and build a snow man?" Her daddy and I would always reply, "We just have to wait." Just before it snowed she asked "Mommy, is it spring?" I think she had given up on winter and her snowman all together.
When the flakes began to fall she jumped up and down with excitement. We took her out that same night it snowed to be sure and check the snowman off the list so winter could officially be experienced. She agreed it was definitely worth the wait!
