Location: Roanoke VA

This image was taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway, south of Roanoke. It is a 12 minute exposure using a tracking mount. The camera was a Canon 40D. Lens was set at 11mm. ISO was 800, and aperture set at f4.5. The yellow tint at the lower right is light pollution from Rocky Mount VA and the Martinsville/Collinsville area. The center bulge of the Milky Way is evident.

I forgot to mention that the bright star in this image is not a star at all, but the planet Jupiter.
