Hello,

I would like to offer a story that I have provided all other news stations this morning with. Recently, my best friend, Tomesha McKenzie was hit by a car and then the offender fled the scene. This is after he had the nerve to tell her that it was not him that roll over her! Other members that were on the scene with her at the time wrote down the license plate number and called the police. However, it appears that law enforcement are stalling on doing their job and everyone is protecting the driver who hit my friend. Now I don't know if this is a country thing, seeing as I am from the city, or if they just feel she is too dumb to push this issue futher to fet the proper justice she deserves. My friend is on the timid side, so me as a striving student trying to be a lawyer is going to put the story out there for the world to see the lack of justice at it's finest. Not only are they failing to provide my friend with the insurance info of the offender that hit her, the officer who is suppose to be investigating the situation is refusing to call her back and everybody says he is not available. She needs medical care but the one and only specialist is refusing to see her without $200, which she cannot afford to pay right now. She has a small babysitting business which she shares with her mom and unfortunately they dont have insurance that covers accidents. All parties involved, including her lawyer fails to provide info needed about the offenders insurance so she can start recieving medical treatment. My friend also feels like the man hit her on purpose because she was "black". I strongly feel there are several issues with what is happening in here situation and dont have all day to point out each and every problem because I have twenty other news stations and NAACP sites to provide this same info. I refuse to let this unfair and outrageous treatment continue. My friend cannot even drive her car and has to be taken back and forth to school and everywhere else she has to go because of this guy and no one is doing anything about it.
