The William Byrd boy's track team won the Blue Ridge Track meet held at Lord Botetourt High School, May 16. Byrd scored a total of 157 points followed by Northside with 141, Alleghany with 118 and Lord Botetourt with 70. Drew Hall won both the 400 and 800 meter runs and also placed 2nd in the 100--an event he usually doesn't enter. Caleb Kingery had a strong showing as well. He placed 2nd in the 3,200m and 400m runs, third in the 200 and triple jump and 6th in the long jump.
Northside won the girl's division with 194, followed by Lord Botetourt with 142, Alleghany with 78 and Wm. Byrd with 69.
