At least 10 trees that have been standing on Oklahoma Ave for over 25 years were cut down last week for...? I was told " because the owners were told they only lasted 25 years and wanted them cut down so they could plant some new ones ":! BUT these trees are green/?? These trees are alive?? These trees are not even sick?? These trees gave great shade to the elderly at Golden Age Care Center were they grew for 25 years?? They are right across the street from the Territorial Museum, well they were across the street !! Now there are 3 foot stubs that just stick out of the concrete every 10 foot. One of the elderly gentlemen that was watching said, "Everybodies lost their minds, it is just crazy"!!! I tend to agree !! Why do you fix something that isn't broken?? The street looks like awar zone now after trees being desrtroyed and the mess with the new sidewalks being put in! A lot of folks in Guthrie are not happy right now!! Would you be??

New info This is done by THE CITY OF GUTHRIE to put in new sidewalks on Oklahoma Ave....must have took the lowest Bid for the job !!
