Too, Too Close

These pictures were attached to an email I received from my Dad this weekend. Looks as if he had a close call. His name is Billy Ryan and is a lifelong resident of Tishomingo, OK. He works in the oil field and describes the location of his rig below. He takes pride in being a nature shutterbug. This would have been right before he started his shift on Saturday, when he usually takes a warm-up walk.

This is the tornado that hit McAlester. It hit
the ground 3/4 mile north of my rig and cut a swath thru the woods that put trees over the road into the rig. I had just walked past that area 15 minutes before it hit and had just gotten back to the rig. Grabbed the camera and did the best I could. Seemed as
though we were in a movie and the weather around the pad was clear sun shining and deathly still. We are 5 miles east and 5 miles south of Stuart.
