The Afaisens' and Jesus' were guests at the 3rd Nebraska WWII Honor Flight dinner. The event recognized the veterans for their sacrifices during WWII. Juan Jesus spoke before the group to thank them for their sacrifices and Vana Afaisen danced to an island medley. The Chamorro famalies met five vets who landed on Guam July 21st, 1944. The Nebraska Chamorro community will honor them at their Liberation Day celebration in 2009.
