September 2, 2009. All 4 corners of 21st and Yorktown were occupied by those for and against Public Option. The sidewalks were filled with a variety of individuals. Parents with their young, teenagers with their Obama T-shirts on and those who are in or approaching their golden years all came out to take a stand. Chants rang out back and forth across the street and all 4 corners would cheer when the passing car would honk their horn. For a little over an hour those who are in favor of Public Option held their lit candles and told their stories of why change is needed now.
