Local Oklahoman traveling around Oklahoma and Arkasas hiking and photographing area waterfalls. He started talking to people about waterfalls around Oklahoma, asking where are some waterfall locations in the area that could be photographed.. The answer, usually was, waterfalls, in Oklahoma?? No way, Oklahoma's too flat. Or I wouid hear that Turnerfalls, That's the only waterfall in Oklahoma. So Mike started asking the question: Where is Oklahoma's waterfalls?? The answer: All over Oklahoma.. So he started working on what he thought was a small undertaking, turning into a larger project faster then he had thought. With a trusty camera, 100 foot tape meausre, a small notepad and a sturdy pare of hiking boots. Mike has been photographing waterfalls around Oklahoma for alittle over a year now, is not even found the quarter mark yet. His list of to finds is growing even faster as he gets out to talk to locals, he does his best to locate and photograph falls whenever he can. From Freedom to West Siloam Springs, and from Blackwell to Arbuckle Mountians, his journy is evergoing and evergrowing. Mike also known as The Wolf Traveler started his research to hopefully write a book to educate Oklahomas and others around the U.S. of just how beautiful Oklahoma is.. And he also hopes to start conservation efferts to help protect these areas for future generations to come...

Brittany, I have a web site set up but it's currently down for updates... If you would like email me at wolffire1213@yahoo.com and i'll get you pictures sent. If you are into the outdoors, I do offer for persons to travel with me from time to time.

The waterfall pictures are awesome. I'd like to see more waterfalls and learn where they are located. Have you ever been to the waterfall at McCurtain?

I've seen the Dover falls nearby but I didn't know if it was real or man made as it seems to be a bit too perfect.

Dover falls is a natural spring fed waterfall. The stream has been altered below the fall, but the falls it's haven't.

Have you been to Natural Falls near Hulbert, Ok.? It's beautiful and in a very peaceful area

No I have not been to the waterfall at McCurtian please email me where it is thewolftraveler@yahoo.com. yes the first area i was to Natural Falls

Where is the 40 ft falls?

Forty Foot Falls is down in Witchita Wildlife Management Area. Near Lawton. The picture above was miss labeled, it's actually Blue Stem Falls near Pawhuska, which is a seasonal waterfall.

Link to website please.

These are very beautiful pics. But like others have asked, can you please supply us with a link to your website please.

i will post a link as soon as IU have the website fully back up and running. will be in mid April

I will have the link posted in mid April after its updated

I have seen some of the pictures of the waterfalls and they are very beautiful. He does a great job in taking them and look forward to the new ones he will have later down the road.

I have a enlarged state roadmap book that indicates many locations of unnamed falls within the counties. Many are only visible following a measurable rainfall. Osage County has many; i,e,, Blue Stem Falls or Phillips Lake Falls near Shidler.

I would like to suggest a catagory for 'seasonal' waterfalls or even spillway waterfalls. I took a little Sunday afternoon drive yesterday and viewed the Spavinaw Lake/Creek overflow. It was awsome.

i would like to know if theres waterfalls near the border wth texas

there are alot of waterfall locations down south near okla-tex border, within an hour drive

I was in the Robber's Cave area last weekend on a driving outing with a special interest in waterfalls and found nothing. I visited with some locals and they knew of none. My search continues.

Omg!!! This is totally cool. never thought of waterfalls in Oklahoma.

Robbers Cave area, I haven't been down to that area yet, i've heard of a few down within 10 miles of there, but haven't had the opertunity to look yet, Most waterfalls aren't drive up to, they have to walked into or hiked to.

I've lived in OKlahoma my entire life. I've been to TurnerFalls and the waterfalls around that area, but I'd really like to see more pictures and find out locations of some of these beautiful waterfalls. Is there a website that Mike has?
