The cloud wall was inpressive from the parking lot. It was windy & warm at about 7:00 PM. We watched the 'V's drop and spin and stood amazed! The first tornado dropped to our west over Canadian just beyond the hill. A bunch of friends stood watching it move north. Suddenly a violent wind slammed into us from the south bringing heavy hard rain, hail & lightning. This time we didn't hesitate and all ran into the basement! Four tornadoes surrounded Arrowhead on Lake Eufaula! One had just come through Crowder to the south and was on us, two were to the immediate west a mile away and the one we'd watched a minute ago heading north! What a night!!! Only a few trees and our nerves were rattled! My first tornado experience was pretty thrilling!

The strongest one was on the lake side just out of Crowder and north to Arrowhead. If you had been near the lake or driving through Indianola like my friend was you'd know what I'm talking about!! It was wild!
