more Fun at Adapted Gymnastics

TAG helped create and has generously housed the Adapted Gymnastics program for 19 years. Adapted is that rare program that allows children with special needs to just be kids- to run, jump, learn, grow and have fun. It also helps provide experience and training for more than 200 MU health profession students every semester.

Tiger Academy Gymnastics (TAG) has been a part of MU for 33yrs but has to move out of its current facility by Aug 31st per request of the Athletic Department. TAG provides gymnastics training to 525 children, more than 75 with special needs. Amie & Craig Butler have taken over TAG as of June 1st and their mission is to continue TAG, at first at a rental facility and then in a newly built facility. They want TAG to continue its strong community service activity; in fact, they want to grow the amount of community outreach provided through scholarships for kidos who want to participate but may lack funding and by increasing the number of activities for children with special needs. And they want to continue the excellent instruction and guidance they provide to young gymnasts while encouraging these young people to serve their community.

Raise the Roof is the TAG benefit dinner/auction on June 29th at the Hampton Inn & Suites where people can attend and support this excellent community program. Cost: $30/ adult, $19/ child. Tix:
