Summary About the Foundation:

The Rehab A. El-Buri Foundation was started by Rehab El-Buri’s loved ones to keep her spirit alive after her passing in March 2011 from malignant melanoma.

Rehab was dedicated to several projects, including giving gifts to children with cancer in the hospital, organizing and fundraising for small community improvement projects, and giving a voice to the disenfranchised through her journalism work. The Rehab A. El-Buri Foundation will focus on continuing these areas by fundraising for melanoma research, community projects, and journalism scholarships. In addition, the foundation will be publishing her highly popular blog that details her experiences as a young person with cancer.
