Outside tending to the flower pots on Monday morning (July 27) and spotted the grasshopper resting. He blends in so well and the picture turned out pretty good since I am an amature at taking pictures. The flower is a little larger than a quarter. It is a bloom from the Portulaca plant. My husband had mowed down the weeds which had overgrown from the recent rains in the area. Thus, disturbing all the little green hoppers who lived among the foliage. The birds in the area had a feast on these critters.
