Susan Cordova is crediting a singed and melted case of bottled drinking water for saving the San Francisco Xavier Mission Chapel in Jarales from burning down.
The bottled water, placed in front of the church's electrical panel, stopped the fire after a nearby wreck sent an electrical surge into the panel that sparked a fire, Cordova said.
