Winter always brings the return of the migratory fowl, the Sandhill Cranes. This year, I photographed hundreds of Sandhills going about their day. These cranes are extremely graceful fliers. Hundreds flew directly over my head. I could hear the wind caused by their beating wings interrupted by their calls. They are amazingly beautiful and a must see in person.
