First I would like to offer my condolences to all the families impacted by the balloon accidents from this morning, our prayers go out to them. This is the first balloon festival my family and I have lived in the Albuquerque area for. I want to thank all the balloonists for coming and sharing the wonderful sights of their balloons. My family has loved the experience. May you all travel safely from here on out.

Continued from prior comment: Not very many people remember that this event was held in the open fields in Rio Rancho @ Northern and Rainbow in the early 1980's prior to its expansion. This event needs to be moved to a more open area.
