Rain fell in the Ruidoso area overnight resulting in 6 to 7 inches of rain. The river is higher than I have ever seen it and I have lived in the area since 1959.
Hundreds of people are evacuated from their homes.
I was out early this morning and have over 40 photos. I watched trees falling and being swept down river. Tourist standing on decks of homes watching the fast flowing river run past just under their feet. Found one couple standing on their porch, checking around each side of the home, water on all sides.
This is a storm that will go down in the history books for Lincoln County.
