Makes 10 to 12 servings
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1/3 c. walnuts - optional
1. Place pie filling into greased crockpot.
2. Combine dry cake mix and butter (mixture will be crumbly). Sprinkle over filling. Sprinkle with nuts.
3. Cook on low 4 hours or on high 2 hours.
4. Allow to cool some and serve in a bowl with ice cream.
NOTE: for a less rich, less sweet dessert, use a Jiffy cake mix or 1/2 of large mix and 1/4 cup melted butter.
