Kansas Wesleyan Wins First Round in NAIA National Tournament

Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team is seeded 13th in the 20-team tournament. KWU beat Embry-Riddle, Fla. 2-0 in the first round of the NAIA national tournament. They play fourth-seeded Concordia, Ore at 6 pm (Central) time in the second round. This is KWU's first appearance in the national tournament, and the first time a women's team from the Kansas Conference has played in the NAIA tournment since its inception in 1984. Mike Dibbini is the KWU women's and men's coach. Both teams won the KCAC tournament. Wesleyan women have won the last 18 matches since losing to Morningside, Iowa, 2-0. The KWU women rank No. 1 in NAIA Division I in shots per game. No. 2 in shutouts. No. 6 in goals per game. NO. 9 in assists per game.
