The Spring River, fed by the Warm Fork River out of Missouri, spilled its banks today flooding dozens of homes in the Mammoth Spring area. There is extensive private property damage as well as damage to the State Park and many camprounds in the area. The creeks in the area are also flooded with Big Creek causing much damage to the Riverside Resort. Residents overall are saddened by the loss, but many expressed great concern about towns such as Hardy which are further South.
