We adopted our long-haired mini Dachshund when she was 11 months old. Her name was originally "Pebbles" but my husband wanted to change it to a popular hotdog brand in Western New York. I didn't know the hotdogs were actually "Sahlen" brand, so our little Doxie's name is spelled "Salen". She will be 11 this year and despite the gray muzzle, she's a sassy little thing.
