At around 7:00PM I was walking around our farm three miles east of Alden Minnesota (population 652). I noticed many large thunderheads forming on the horison to the east close to the Claks Grove and Albert Lea area. I went to grab my camra and tri-pod. When I got back one thunderhead nearly tripled in size. I started taking pictures right away and in about 30 min. the thunderhead turned into a giant mushroom cloud that took over half the sky! "I've never seen anything like this", I told my sister "not even in text books or on the internet". Later that day we did lose power, but it was only for 10-15 mins. There wasn't even a drop of rain that fell on us.
