Halloween 2009, dressing up to scare the kids, and just to be a kid myself.
With all that is going on in the economy, with the military and politics. It is nice to have a bit of a lighter side to life. And Halloween is the perfect night for fun and fantasy. Just to be a kid again!
It took most of the day to put this outfit together. The special F/X make-up was the most time consuming, about 4 and a half hours, start to finish.
These are not pre-made scars. I created them all in the afternoon of Halloween. Custom fit for myself and my husband.
Made from Knox gelatin, liquid latex and several different colors of make-up and fake blood. It is a process that takes time, but the finish product is fantastic, and realistic. Which makes for a very scary night.
As far as the cost, very inexpensive. The make-up supplies can easily be obtained at the local department store in the Halloween month, I would say about $25.00....which for us included, two boxes of Knox gelatin, liquid latex, regular creme base make-up (Revlon, panstick) and a Halloween kit from Walmart, that contained purple, black, green and yellow creme make-up, sponges, a tube of "blood", then the usual at home applicators, q-tips and tissue. A bowl to mix in, and a paper plate to also mix your make-up to get just the right hues.
Any old clothes, spattered with liquid blood and some dirt from the yard.....and there you have it. You my friend are a Zombie.
Hope you had as much fun as I did on Halloween.
Muaaaaahhhhhh!
Regards, Judy
